I represent Francis (or François) Pousset. I was a a resident of Mobile during the British period. I arrived there in 1763, after it became British, and remained there until the end of the Revolutionary War in 1783. I was elected to represent Mobile in the House of Commons for the first two provincial General Assemblies in 1766 and 1767, and I served as speaker of the house for both. In 1766, I petitioned for Lot 28 in Mobile, which adjoined the garden on the south side of the lot and house I already owned. In 1767 I joined in the rush to obtain land on the Mississippi River, requesting 1,000 acres near Natchez. I appear in the Spanish Census of Baton Rouge for 1786.
