I represent Robert Adolphus Farmar. I was a son of Maj. Robert and Mary Anderson Farmar. I was commissioned an ensign in His Majesty’s 60th (Royal American) Regiment of Foot in January 1781. I am known for having kept a detailed diary of the siege of Pensacola, which is used as a source in this project and has informed most of what we know about what happened in early 1781. I remained with the army after the surrender of Pensacola. I became a lieutenant in 1787.
