I represent Charles Reid. I was a corporal in His Majesty’s 31st Regiment of Foot. The 31st was an infantry regiment that joined the garrison at Pensacola in 1765. I died on September 22, 1768. No cause of death was given, but it was probably from one of the many illnesses that swept through Pensacola in those early years of the colony. I likely still lie in an unmarked grave in Pensacola.
