I represent Chulustumabé. I was a Choctaw leader and warrior in the British province of West Florida. My name translates to Red Shoes, and in the Choctaw culture, the addition of -abé to my name indicates prowess in war. I attended 1765 Indian congress in Mobile. In 1766, with the Creeks bearing down on my people, I appealed to Charles Stuart, the Deputy Superintendent for Indian Affairs, for help. The British, eager to maintain an alliance with us, came through with weapons and ammunition.
