I represent François-Aymar, Baron de Monteil. I was the lieutenant-general of the French fleet sent to aid Gen. Bernardo de Gálvez in the campaign against Pensacola. We arrived in 1781 from the Caribbean, I in the the warship Le Palmier. After the surrender of Pensacola, General Gálvez submitted a letter of commending the forces under my command. After Pensacola, I fought at Yorktown.
