I represent Margaret Catherine Mitchell, daughter of John and Sarah Mitchell. My father was a sergeant in His Majesty’s 16th Regiment of Foot, so my parents would have come to Pensacola in the spring of 1770. I was baptized – probably as an infant – on August 16, 1770.
