I represent Sarah Alsopp. I was a Pensacola resident and married to Andrew Alsopp. In 1765, we were granted Lot 162 in town, on the corner of Charlotte and Harcourt streets (today’s Alcaniz and Intendencia). We had a daughter named Mary who was baptized – most likely as an infant – on January 27, 1770. My husband’s occupation is not specified in the available records; however, we took an orphaned girl named Sarah Forward into our home as an apprentice for seven years.
