I represent Walter Miller. I was a soldier in the garrison of British Pensacola. I died on September 26, 1770. The cause given was “excessive drinking.” My regiment was not given in the death record, which is unusual. Given the date, it was likely His Majesty’s 31st Regiment of Foot. I probably still lie in an unmarked grave in Pensacola.
