I represent Pierre-Elzeárd d’Allard (Gálvez spelled my name “Lezcard”). I was a Captain of the Poitou Regiment, one of the French companies allied with General Bernardo de Gálvez at the siege of Pensacola. After the surrender of Pensacola, General Gálvez submitted a letter specially commending 31 officers and cadets, and I was among them.
