John Kilman

I represent John Kilman. I served in His Majesty’s 16th Regiment of Foot. We joined the garrison at Pensacola in the spring of 1770. I was married to Mary Kilman. We had a son named John, who was baptized as an infant on November 27, 1770. He died a month later, on December 27, 1770. His cause of death was “gripes,” which indicates an illness that involved abdominal pain . John probably still lies in an unmarked grave in Pensacola.
