I represent the child of Mrs. Jones enumerated with her in the Return of Women & Children of the 31st Regiment, Capt. Vignoles’ Company, in Sept 1768. My father’s name is not given in the Return, but he would have served in the 31st, an infantry regiment stationed beginning in 1765 and not transferred out completely until 1770.
