I represent Mrs. Holmes’ child, enumerated with her in the Return of Women & Children of the 31st Regiment, Maj. Bromley’s’ Company, in Sept 1768. My father’s name was not given in the Return, but it very likely was William Holmes, a soldier of Maj. Bromley’s Company who died on June 17, 1768.
