I represent John Heap. I served in His Majesty’s 31st Regiment of Foot. The 31st was an infantry regiment stationed at the garrison of Pensacola. We arrived in 1765 and immediately suffered immense losses due to diseases like yellow fever and dysentery. I died at Pensacola on September 21, 1768, and very likely still lie in an unmarked grave there.
