I represent James Hamilton. I was stationed in the garrison at Pensacola with His Majesty’s 16th Regiment of Foot, having arrived with the regiment in the spring of 1770. I was married to Martha. We had a son, John, who died of convulsions in infancy on October 7, 1770. He probably still lies in an unmarked grave in Pensacola.
