I represent Richard Goodwin. I was attached to the garrison in Pensacola with His Majesty’s 31st Regiment of FootThe 31st was an infantry regiment stationed at the garrison of Pensacola. We arrived in 1765. I was married to Elizabeth, and we had a son named James. James was baptized – most likely as an infant – on September 5, 1768. His baptism was recorded by Rev. Nathanial Cotton, minister of West Florida at the time.
