I represent Robert Baker Gibbs. I was the commander of HMS Nancy, a sloop that carried cargo to and from Pensacola. In May 1777, I was caught by the American privateer, the Rutledge, under the command of Captain Jacob Milligan. I had been trying to get a cargo of lumber from Pensacola to Jamaica.
