I represent Katherine Ford. My husband, Samuel, was attached to the garrison of Pensacola with His Majesty’s 31st Regiment of Foot, which arrived in Pensacola in 1765. We had a son, John, who was baptized – most likely as an infant – on September 25, 1768. It is possible I am the Mrs. Foard who was enumerated in the Return of Women & Children of the 31st Regiment, Capt. Hodgson’s Company, in Sept 1768.
