Pvt. James Fletcher

I represent James Fletcher. I was a private in His Majesty’s 31st Regiment of Foot, Capt. Thomas Hodgson‘s Company. The 31st was an infantry regiment stationed at the garrison of Pensacola. We arrived in 1765 and immediately suffered immense losses due to diseases like yellow fever and dysentery. In fact, I died of dysentery on February 19, 1767. I probably still lie in an unmarked grave in Pensacola.
