I represent John Davis. I appear on a list of residents of Pensacola in February 1780. I was identified as an artificer, or skilled craftsman. If I am the John Davis who petitioned for land on the Pascagoula River in 1779, I was from Georgia and I came down – likely as a Loyalist refugee – in February 1778.
