I represent the child of Mrs. Coyce. She was among the women enumerated in the Return of Women & Children of the 31st Regiment, Capt. Hodgson’s Company, in Sept 1768. My father is not identified in the Return, but presumably he served in the 31st, an infantry regiment stationed in Pensacola from 1765 until 1772 (with a brief transfer to St. Augustin in 1769).
