I represent Andrew Cowie. I was resident of Pensacola during the British colonial period. I was an artificer, or skilled craftsman. There was a lot of work in West Florida for people in that field, so I probably made a decent living. In my 1777 petition for a land grant, I stated I had been in the province of West Florida for nine years.
