I represent Thomas Main. I was a private in His Majesty’s 31st Regiment of Foot, Captain Hodgson‘s company. I was born in Morpeth, Northumberland, England about 1738. The Mrs. Main and her two unnamed children enumerated in the Return of Women & Children of the 31st Regiment, September 1768, were my family. I retired from the 31st in 1788 with 32 years service. I was a laborer by trade.
