I represent Ann Clarke. My husband, John, served of His Majesty’s 31st Regiment of Foot, an infantry regiment stationed at the garrison of Pensacola. We arrived in Pensacola in 1765. We had a daughter named Elizabeth. Elizabeth was baptized as an infant on January 2, 1769 and died on January 20 of that year. Her baptism and burial were noted in the records of Rev. Nathaniel Cotton, minister of Pensacola in those early years of the colony of West Florida, and she lies buried in an unmarked grave in Pensacola.
