I represent James Bass, a resident of Pensacola during the British period. My wife was Mary, and we had three children: Daniel, Mary, and Matthew, all baptized on August 28, 1768. In 1765, I was granted Lot 103 in town, on Bute Street at Gloucester (now Government Street at Cevallos).
