John Simpson

I represent John Simpson, the son of John and Mary Simpson of Pensacola. My father was a tavern keeper. I had four siblings: Thomas, Sarah, and I were all baptized on July 14, 1768; Francis was baptized on December 6, 1768; and Andrew was baptized on December 16, 1770. Francis and Andrew were probably baptized as infants. My father’s name appears on the list the Spanish made of Pensacola householders still in the town at the time of capitulation in May 1781, so our family were long-time settlers.
