I represent Jonathan Scott. I was a resident of British West Florida, living at Fort Tombecbe (On the Tombigbee River, near what was then the border of French Louisiana). I was tried before Chief Justice Clifton in Pensacola and convicted of murdering my servant, John Farrel. I was sentenced to death, but managed to escape from jail in Pensacola while awaiting execution.
