I represent Admiral George Brydges Rodney. I was an Admiral of the Royal Navy. Originally stationed in Jamaica, I was in Pensacola by 20 OCT 1773 when I requested to send warships into the Mississippi River to keep French from using British ships to trade in foreign ports. I also complained about Pensacola inhabitants’ disrespect for Navy personnel and property, especially the Navy garden. It may seem trivial, but that garden was what stood between the Navy and a lot of losses to scurvy.
