William Robinson

I represent William Robinson. I was a soldier in His Majesty’s 31st Regiment of Foot, Lt. Col. Ralph Walsh‘s company. The 31st was an infantry regiment that joined the garrison of Pensacola in 1765 and it stayed (with a brief transfer to St. Augustine in 1769) until 1772. I died on December 2, 1767. The cause of death was not listed, but illnesses like dysentery and yellow fever ran rampant in the garrison during the early years of the colony. I likely still lie in an unmarked grave in Pensacola.
