I represent Samuel Roan. I was a member of the crew of George Gauld’s surveying schooner, the Charlotte (attached to HMS Ferret). I got the bright idea to desert while the Charlotte was in Santa Rosa Bay in the summer 1766. I was later apprehended and brought back on board the Ferret. I had apparently hiked back to Pensacola.
