I represent Henry Payne. I was a resident of Pensacola during the British colonial period. In 1764 I petitioned for a grant of land on the Perdido River. My name appears on a listing of inhabitants of Pensacola in February 1780, where I was identified as a artificer, or skilled craftsman.
